There will be an interesting game in Dodge City when Wichita North takes on Class 3A Scott City in the semi finals of the Dodge City Tournament of Champions. There were a couple shockers out of the Hillsboro Classic on Thursday, and both involved the Hesston Swathers losing a couple games in which we figured they had a shot at winning. Holcomb boys team defeated Hesston boys 41-31 while the Hillsboro girls handed Hesston their first loss by a 52-34 margin. Other action saw the TMP boys team beating Riley County 52-35 in the back bracket, while the Holcomb girls rebounded from their first loss of the season the other day against Hesston to defeat TMP 57-9.
