January 29, 2013Wichita, Kan. - KCAC basketball returns to Thursday night for Week 7 of conference basketball. Game of the Week is McPherson College at University of Saint Mary, on Saturday, February 2nd. Saint Mary leads the KCAC with a 12-0 conference record. Sterling College is two games back at 10-2.

The Bulldogs won both of its games last week against Ottawa and Tabor. Adam Bruner led the team in both victories averaging 18 points and 7.5 rebounds. Mason Hewitt scored 26 points against Tabor to lead all scorers, shooting 11-13 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line. The Bulldogs currently have the fifth-best scoring defense in the conference, allowing just over 71 points per game.

Saint Mary added two more wins last week and have extended its winning streak to 14. The Spires currently rank in the top-3 in the conference in 16 different statistical categories, including scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin, total assists and total steals. Jordan Wilcox scored 27 points against Kansas Wesleyan, and Chip Schneider added 12 points and 13 assists. Shiron Williams led all scorers against Friends with 18.
