Wichita Trinity and Douglass girls fought one for the books on Friday night as two teams about as even as you can get them went at it for four quarters.

They went into the game having each beaten the other once earlier in the season, and the visiting Knights came out on top 48-47, hitting a shot with two seconds left in the game for the win.

But that wasn't the only one point game as in Andover, Central gave the Andover team a shot at the end, but they also won by a point, 49-48.

Wichita South also handed Kapaun its first loss in the City League with a 34-28 knockdown.

Does it get any better in girls play? Only if you have photos and we do. Hovpen Sports took over 100 shots of the girls game in Douglass and it was Cancer Awareness night. Those photos can be viewed at Hovpen Photo Shop where we store all our photos for at least six months after the fact.

The boys game in Andover was just as interesting as the girls, going triple overtime before Andover Central won it 70-66. Joanna will have all the headlines on that one in the morning at The Eagle.
