February 11, 2013Wichita, Kan. - Kansas Wesleyan University Junior, Canon Fields, is named KCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time. The 6-0, Guard from Topeka, Kansas followed his second triple-double of the season with a double double, in two conference games this week.
February 7th, Fields tallied 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for his second triple of the season. The Coyotes were able to surpass KCAC #2 Sterling College Warriors in Salina, 90 to 81. Fields' first triple double of the season was also against Sterling College, it occurred on January 5th at Sterling.
Fields followed his triple double with his ninth double double of the season. In a 92 to 76 losing effort against McPherson College on February 9th, Fields recorded 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Fields finished the week with a 43% field goal percentage (15-35), 45 points, 20 rebounds, and 14 assists. Fields leads the KCAC in scoring with 602 points (23.15 per game), Assists (142) and Steals (59). He is fifth in conference with 212 rebounds (8.15 per game).
