Wichita, Kan. - (Bracket: Updated 2/19/13) - Dates and times for this coming KCAC Men's Basketball postseason conference tournament have been changed. Friday, February 22nd will mark the tipoff of the four quarterfinal match-ups starting the march to Championship Monday when the conference will crown its postseason men's champion on February 25 at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas.



University of Saint Mary hosts McPherson College at 7:00 p.m. in Leavenworth. Sterling College hosts Southwestern College at 7:00 p.m. in Sterling. Friends University hosts Bethany College at 6:00 p.m. in Wichita. Tabor College hosts Ottawa University at 6:00 p.m. in Hillsboro.



Quarterfinal #1: 7:00 p.m., Leavenworth, Kansas

The KCAC Tournament #8 seed McPherson College (12-17, 6-12) travels to Leavenworth to take on the tournament #1 seed University of Saint Mary (22-7, 16-2).


McPherson heads into the tournament splitting their last two regular season games defeating Bethel and losing to Sterling. Saint Mary defeated McPherson on January 3, 87-83, in McPherson and then again on February 2, 72-60, in Leavenworth. Saint Mary heads into the tournament as the #1 seed winning their last five of their last six games of the regular season.


Quarterfinal #2: 6:00 p.m., Wichita, Kansas
#5 seed Bethany College (12-14, 8-10) travels to Wichita to take on the #4 seed Friends University (16-12, 13-5).


Bethany finished the regular season with a victory over #3 seeded Sterling College in Sterling to grab the #5 tournament seed. Friends took both regular season matchups against the Swedes (67-53 on January 10, 75-69 on February 9). The Falcons have won 10 of their last 13 games, with losses coming against #1 seeded Saint Mary and #2 seeded Tabor.


Quarterfinal #3: 7:00 p.m., Sterling, Kansas
#6 seed Southwestern College (16-13, 7-11) travels to Sterling to face the tournament #3 seed Sterling College (19-10, 13-5).


Southwestern begins postseason play winning their last 2 out of 5 games of the Season. Sterling defeated Southwestern in their first matchup on December 6, 83-74, in Sterling and in their second matchup the Moundbuilders lost to the Warriors, 76-59, on January 26 in Winfield. Sterling ends the regular season with a loss at home against Bethany College; they are 2-3 in February.


Quarterfinal #4: 6:00 p.m., Hillsboro, Kansas
#7 seed Ottawa University (9-19, 6-12) travels to Hillsboro to face the #2 seed Tabor College (15-2, 14-4).


Ottawa is going into the postseason play with only two wins in their last 10 games. Tabor won both their regular season matchups against Ottawa, the first time on January 3, 75-68, in Hillsboro and the second game on February 2, 77-75 OT, in Ottawa. Tabor heads into the postseason play winning their last seven conference games.


Semifinal games will be played Saturday, February 23. The top advancing seeds in each half of the bracket will host these semifinal games on their home courts at 5:00 p.m.





UPDATED: KCAC Women's Basketball Tournament Matchups and Bracket

Kansas Wesleyan University hosts Sterling College at 7:00 p.m. in Salina. Southwestern College hosts McPherson at 7:00 p.m. in Winfield. Friends University hosts Bethany College at 8:00 p.m. in Wichita. Tabor College hosts Ottawa University at 8:00 p.m. in Hillsboro.



Quarterfinal #1: 8:00 p.m., Wichita, Kansas

The KCAC Tournament #8 seed Bethany (5-23, 4-14) travels to Wichita to take on the Tournament #1 seed Friends University (22-7, 16-2).

Bethany comes into the tournament with a 1-4 record in the month of February. Friends defeated Bethany in their first match up on January 10 in Lindsborg, 46-38, and in their second matchup in Wichita on February 9, 67-28. Friends enters the tournament winning their last 14 games, ranked #25 in Division-II.

Quarterfinal #2: 7:00 p.m., Salina, Kansas

#5 seed Sterling College (14-14, 10-8) travels to Salina to take on the #4 seed Kansas Wesleyan University (16-12, 11-7).

Sterling enters the tournament winning three out of their last four conference games. Sterling defeated Kansas Wesleyan in both times the squads met this season (68-66 on January 5, 61-57 on February 7). Kansas Wesleyan heads into the tournament after falling to #2 seed Tabor College 81-77 in the last regular season game of the year.

Quarterfinal #3: 7:00 p.m., Winfield, Kansas

#6 seed McPherson College (14-14, 8-10) travels to Winfield to face the tournament #3 seed Southwestern College (20-7, 15-3).

McPherson heads into Winfield on a four-game slide. Their last win came against Saint Mary on February 2. Southwestern defeated McPherson in Winfield, 71-51, on December 8 and then again in McPherson, 89-80, on January 31. Southwestern currently holds a seven-game winning streak dating back to January 26.

Quarterfinal #4: 8:00 p.m., Hillsboro, Kansas

#7 seed Ottawa University (9-19, 5-13) travels to Hillsboro to face the #2 seed Tabor College (19-9, 15-3).



Ottawa has split their last two games of the regular season, winning against Saint Mary and losing against #25 Friends. Tabor defeated Ottawa in both of their regular season meetings, in their first meeting at in Hillsboro, 56-32, and at Ottawa 57-55. Tabor has won eight of their last 10 conference games.


Semifinal games will be played Saturday, February 23 at 8 p.m. The top seed advancing from quarterfinal #1 and #2 will host a semifinal game on their home court. Top seed advancing from quarterfinal #3 and #4 will host a semifinal game on their home court. Championship Monday will be held February 25 at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas.
