For the third consecutive week, Butler softball remains at the top of the NJCAA Division I polls, which was released Wednesday.
The Grizzlies (18-3 overall, 4-0 conference) received all four first-place votes. Following Butler in the top five were Indian River (Fla.), Arizona Western, Tallahasse (Fla.) and Southern Idaho.
Butler, winners of 14 straight contests, won all four games this past week by run-rule. The Grizzlies won 10-1 and 12-2 at Pratt on Thursday, then blasted conference foe Barton 8-0 and 13-0 in Sunday's home opener.
The Grizzlies, the only KJCCC team to be ranked in the poll for the second straight week, split with Seward County in a 3 p.m. Wednesday. Butler will remain home through the weekend, beginning with two games Saturday at 3 p.m. against Garden City. The Grizzlies will also host Crowder (Mo.) in a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Sunday.
